Bring your dogs, cats and ferrets for a free rabies vaccination Wednesday in the town.

The vaccination clinic will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the county’s fire training academy, 3559 Broadway, near Union Road.

It’s sponsored by the Erie County Department of Health, in conjunction with the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society, Medaille College’s Veterinary Technology Program and the SPCA Serving Erie County.

This week:

• A meeting of the Maryvale School Board begins at 6 p.m. Monday in the board room at the Samuel R. Bennett Administration Building, 1050 Maryvale Drive.

• The Town Board meets at 6:45 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 3301 Broadway.

• Mary Queen of Angels School Sports Boosters are hosting their third annual meat raffle Friday in the parish hall of St. Andrew’s Church, 100 Crocker St., Sloan. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the raffle beginning at 7. Tickets are $5 presale or $8 at the door; the price includes two slices of pizza and a beverage. Other raffles are planned at the event, which is open to people age 21 and older. Order tickets by calling Lynn Incardona at 270-7765 or the school at 895-6280.

• The Sisters of St. Joseph’s annual Oktoberfest will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. next Sunday in the school gym at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 157 Cleveland Drive. There will be German food, drink, music and dancing, along with door prizes and raffles. Proceeds benefit the Sisters of St. Joseph. Tickets are $5 presale, available at the rectory, and $6 at the door.
