Appleton winery to showcase artist’s work

APPLETON – Acrylic artist Joanne Sloan has returned to the Marjim Manor winery with her latest artwork and it will be displayed through the end of the month.

Sloan worked and resided in Buffalo most of her life, but finds her summer inspiration in Niagara County, painting area landmarks in a distinctively playful style. With a preference for painting plein air (outdoors) and from real life, she creates bright, lively work.

Winery visitors will receive an opportunity to win one of Sloan’s classic pieces.

The winery, at 7171 E. Lake Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and from noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Visit: or call 778-7001 for more information.
