UB program aims to help smokers quit

The University at Buffalo’s QUIT smoking cessation program, which shows a high level of success, will offer a program starting in October.

The program is led by trained psychology graduate students who use techniques supported by research, including group therapy and nicotine replacement. It has been successful for heavier and lighter smokers.

Sessions on UB’s North Campus in Amherst are held Mondays, Wednesdays and one Friday; cost is $65. Call 645-3697 to register.
