The Made in America store will triple the size of its original retail store in Elma, making it the company’s flagship store.
The store is located at 1000 W. Maple Court in Elma, just next to the Maple Road exit off the East Aurora Expressway on Route 400.
The company will break ground Friday.
The expansion will allow the store to carry bigger inventories, is strategically designed with tourists in mind, and positions the store for higher sales and greater job growth, said Mark Andol, the company’s founder and CEO.
Andol said he had no idea the store would become a tourist destination when it opened in 2010, but the store has been a regular destination for tour buses attracted to the store’s mission of preserving American jobs.
The Made in America store now has five brick-and-mortar locations, in the Walden Galleria, McKinley Mall, Eastern Hills Mall and Elma, as well as a seasonal location in the One Niagara Center on Rainbow Boulevard in Niagara Falls. It also has three e-commerce sites and does more than 100 vendor shows, including VFW conventions, the Erie County Fair and the Constitution Festival.
