The 30-somethings
Lawmakers joke that the recent appointments of 30-somethings Joel Feroleto (Delaware) and Ulysees Wingo (Masten)  drop the average age of the Council considerably. I did the math. The average age of the nine-member 2015 Council, before Demone Smith and Michael LoCurto left for other jobs in recent months, was 48.  With Smith, 41, and LoCurto, 44, gone, the average age of the seven remaining members increased to 50. The recent appointments of  Feroleto, 33, and  Wingo, 35, drop the average to 46.  Also as a result of the new appointments, the youngest member is now Feroleto, who takes the moniker from  South District's Chris Scanlon, 34, previously the only  30-something in the group.  The oldest Councilman is Fillmore's Dave Franczyk, 61. There's a bunch of 50-somethings -  Niagara's Dave Rivera, 57; University's Rasheed Wyatt, 52,  and North's Joe Golombek and Ellicott's Darius Pridgen,  both 50 (Pridgen is about  3-1/2 months older than Golombek). Only one 40-something remains - Lovejoy's Rich Fontana, 43.
