Buffalo police have released the names of the two men shot, one fatally, on East Amherst Street late Monday night.
Saeed Moore, 39, was found wounded and sitting in the driver’s seat of a minivan that had crashed into a fence on East Amherst Street. Emergency personnel tried to save him but died at the scene.
Javaughn Hogue, 19, was shot once in the back and taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
Police sources have said Moore apparently was shot before he got into the minivan and tried to flee the shooting scene.
The younger man was found at a food market on East Amherst, near Parkridge Avenue.
