Tyrod Taylor, Ronald Darby up for NFL awards after Week One

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor and rookie cornerback Ronald Darby are both finalists for weekly NFL awards after their respective performances Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Taylor is a finalist for the league's Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week after leading the Bills to a 27-14 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Taylor went 14 of 19 for 195 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 41 yards in his first career start.

The other finalists are:

• Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who led a game-winning drive in the final minute to beat the New York Giants.

• St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who came up with a big tackle of Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch on a fourth-and-1 play in overtime.

• Denver Broncos defensive back Darian Stewart, who intercepted Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco in the final minute to preserve a victory.

• Miami Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry, who had a punt return for a touchdown for the go-ahead points in the fourth quarter against Washington.

Darby is a finalist for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award after he started and had an interception against Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.

The other finalists are:

• Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, who completed 13 of 16 passes for 209 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-14 win over Tampa Bay.

• Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, who had seven tackles, three passes defensed and an interception in a 27-20 win over Houston.

• San Diego Chargers linebacker Kyle Emanuel, who had three tackles, a sack and an interception in a 33-28 win over Houston.

• Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah, who had seven carries for 50 yards and a touchdown, as well as four catches for 44 yards, against San Diego.
