Patrick Kaleta's No. 1 goal this offseason was to sign with the Sabres. He'll settle for the Sabres' organization.
Kaleta has agreed to a one-year deal with the Rochester Americans, the team announced Saturday. The 29-year-old will attend Buffalo's training camp next week on a professional tryout.
Kaleta, who was an unrestricted free agent, has played 348 games with the Sabres. He was limited to 42 last season after breaking his face during training camp. The Sabres selected the Angola native in the sixth round of the 2004 NHL Draft, and he began his pro career with the Amerks in 2006.
