Peach Fest parade will have Heart and four-legged presence

LEWISTON – Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue adopters, fosters and volunteers will be walking their dogs during the Lewiston Peach Festival parade at 11 a.m. Saturday on Center Street, from the Red Brick School to the festival on Academy Park.

Heart of Niagara also will have a booth at the festival on Saturday and Sunday for the public to meet adoptable dogs and learn more about the organization, adoptions and events. Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue, a not-for-profit organization in Niagara County, protects abandoned, unwanted, and homeless animals, and operates on volunteer efforts and fundraising.
