GObike Buffalo and the Massachusetts Avenue Project will host a bike tour of urban and rural farms this weekend to celebrate local biking and food systems.
The seventh annual Tour de Farms is a 35-mile bike ride that starts Saturday morning at Rich Products on the West Side, proceeds to the nearby MAP farm, heads to Bipperts Farm in Elma and continues midafternoon at Oles Farm in Alden with a local food celebration. Buses will take bikers back to the West Side early evening.
The fundraising event for the two nonprofits is sponsored by Independent Health, the University at Buffalo, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Corridor, Rich’s and The Buffalo News. Register at tourdefarmsbuffalo.org.
