Rex becomes first Bills coach in decade to have his own TV show this Saturday

“The Rex Ryan Show” is scheduled to make its debut at 7 p.m. Saturday on Channel 7 and one thing appears to be certain.

He should be a more entertaining coach than the last Bills coach to have his own program – Mike Mularkey in 2005.

Of course, Rex's program hosted by John Murphy, the radio voice of the Buffalo Bills, could be delayed if the Notre Dame-University of Virginia game that starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC goes unusually long. Ryan’s show repeats at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The program produced by Buffalo Bills Entertainment (BBE) will include a segment in which Ryan breaks down key plays from games in the film room and will also feature in-depth features on assistant coaches and front office personnel.

Ryan’s program is one of three produced by BBE and carried by Channel 7.

The pre-game show “Bills All-Access” will premiere at 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Channel 7, with Murphy joined by Chris Brown, a reporter who works for the Bills. It will be broadcast live on-the-field.

The post-game show “Bills Tonight” will air Sundays at 11:30 p.m. on Channel 7 with Murphy and Brown recapping the game and doing locker room interviews. Former Bills guard Ruben Brown and Kevin Sylvester will provide commentary.

Brown has previously provided analysis for Channel 2’s “Sports Extra.” Sylvester hosts a Buffalo Sabres program on weekday mornings carried by WGR radio.
