More than 3,000 West Seneca residents were without power Saturday evening because of a downed electric line on Orchard Park Road.
Two New York State Electric & Gas crews were working on restoring power to the 3,387 customers, said Rachel Buchanan, NYSEG’s manager of community outreach.
“We have no idea what caused it to come down,” she said.
Just before 9 p.m. Saturday, two crews were dispatched, one to repair the broken wire and another crew was checking for any other related problems that may occur.
The problem was expected to be fixed late Saturday night.
