LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls has been indicted on charges of having Suboxone and marijuana in the Niagara County Jail March 21.
Michael A. Quarcini, 42, of Eighth Street, whose criminal resume includes two felony convictions and 17 misdemeanors, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to first- and second-degree promoting prison contraband, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Corrections officers performing what the Sheriff’s Office called a routine cell search uncovered Suboxone strips and pot, it was reported at the time. Quarcini has a petit larceny case pending in the Town of Niagara. He is being held in lieu of a total of $3,000 bail.
