Former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is schedule to meet with the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, a league source confirmed to The Buffalo News on Tuesday. The news was first reported by NFL Network.
The expectation is both sides will agree to a deal, according to the source. Jackson was scheduled to fly out to Seattle on Tuesday morning.
Should he join the Seahawks, Jackson will be reunited with former teammate Marshawn Lynch, who since his trade from the Bills to the Seahawks has developed into one of the best running backs in the league. Jackson and Lynch have remained close since their time together in Buffalo.
Jackson was released Monday by the Bills after nine seasons with the team.
