Three players with Western New York ties have been selected to represent the United States during the U19 World Lacrosse Challenge, which begins Sept. 11 in Six Nations, Ontario.
Those who will suit up for Team USA include Jimmy Chadwick (Amherst), Wyn Blueye (Akron) and Derek Andrews (Iroquois). Chadwick plays collegiately at Lake Erie College, Andrews at Nazareth and Blueye at Potomac State.
The United States opens against the Czech Junior National Team at 11 a.m. Sept. 11. The Challenge concludes Sept. 13.
