A Niagara Falls man was ordered to serve a 63-month federal prison term by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara on his conviction for trafficking in more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and more than 500 grams of cocaine.
Harry Hinks, 49, He was arrested four years ago after a year-long investigation into his drug-dealing operation.
Hinks was convicted of trafficking weekly in up to 30 pounds of marijuana brought into Niagara County from out-of-area Indian reservations and arranging large cocaine purchases for sales in the Niagara Falls area over four years.
Dennis Berard, 40, also of Niagara Falls, one of Hinks’ co-defendants, was recently sentenced to a 57-month federal prison term. Other defendants face sentencing in the breakup of Hinks’ Niagara Falls drug ring.
