Pitts is right about how we should treat each other

Bravo, Leonard Pitts. Thank you for the eloquent words about how people of faith should treat each other and the earth. You are correct that only Christians follow the teachings of Jesus, but I understand that all religions have some variation of the Golden Rule, that one should treat others as they wish to be treated themselves.

Our faith should impel us to take care of others, and if conservatives want to call that socialism, then I would be proud to be counted a socialist. A phrase I love – “share your faith, use words if necessary” – sums it up for me.
