BATAVIA – Two local residents were sent to jail in connection with incidents at Thursday night’s concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
Angela E. Wiechett, 20, of Buffalo, was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and three counts of harassment. She’s accused of striking another concert-goer and two deputies, then resisting arrest, deputies reported.
Following arraignment in Darien Town Court, she was sent to the county jail in lieu of $200 bail.
Deputies said Reannon M. Rohring, 32, of Olcott, was charged with trespass after she refused to leave the concert venue after being told numerous times to do so. After arraignment, she was sent to the county jail in lieu of $300 bail.
Neither remained in custody Friday morning.
Three other people arrested at Darien Lake, where Tim McGraw was the headline performer, were issued tickets to appear Aug. 18 in Darien Town Court.
They are: Elizabeth J. Warren, 19, of Wellsville, who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana; Jason M. Kopatz, 19, of East Aurora, charged with trespass after he allegedly tried to re-enter the concert venue after having been ejected; and Brandon M. Burgess, 25, of Batavia, who was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly fighting with security staff.
