Some lanes of the Scajaquada will be closed next week as a part of ongoing safety improvements to calm traffic.
Beginning Monday, intermittent lane closures will be required to install new pavement markings on the Scajaquada in both directions between the Kensington Expressway and the Niagara Thruway, the state Department of Transportation announced.
The work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day through Friday. Additional lane closures are scheduled from approximately 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 8.
The work could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
