HARTLAND – Town Councilman Brian D. Gross said Thursday that he’s running for Hartland town justice in a three-way, six-party primary.
Gross, a Republican who has been on the Town Board for two years, is competing against Justice Joanne L. Sullivan, also a Republican, who is running for re-election, and Democrat Lisa A. Trakas.
There are two justice seats available because of the resignation of Justice Brian Fitts on Nov. 30. The Town Board chose not to appoint a replacement for Fitts. Both winners in the Nov. 3 election will receive four-year terms. The primary is Sept. 10.
Gross is facilities manager for Empire Coating in Albion, a business owned by his family.
