A 52-year-old Orchard Park man suffered a back injury Tuesday morning when his sport utility vehicle veered off North Buffalo Road, according to police.
Police said the SUV, driven by Samuel Cino, was heading north, shortly after 6 a.m., when it went off the road near Greater Erie Federal Credit Union, then traveled through several yards, hitting signs and trees.
The SUV went airborne for a short distance before landing in the parking lot of Orchard Park Veterinarian Center, police said.
It appears that a medical event may have contributed to the crash, police said.
Cino was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, where’s he’s in stable condition.
Officer Brian Gehring and Detective Lt. Patrick McMaster are being assisted in their ongoing investigation by the West Seneca Police Accident Investigation Unit.
