Preservation Board recommends Fosdick Field be included in City Honor’s landmark status

The Buffalo Preservation Board has recommended to the Common Council that City Honor School’s local landmark designation be expanded to include Fosdick Field, the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed park that was part of the school’s original site.

The 4-acre site was sold in 1977 for public housing that was later demolished. City Honors is seeking to reclaim the land from the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority for an athletic field used by the school and the community.
