Motorcyclist suffers broken bones in Wyoming County crash

GENESEE FALLS – A motorcyclist suffered several broken bones when he hit a guard rail after swerving to avoid a small animal in the road in the Town of Genesee Falls, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies reported.

Jerry Jordan, 62, of Portageville, was heading south on Route 19A Friday when he served to avoid a small animal in the road. He lost control of his motorcycle and hit guard rails on the west shoulder of the highway, deputies said.

Jordan, who suffered a broken left shoulder, ribs, wrist and hand, was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he was listed in satisfactory condition Monday. No tickets were issued, deputies said.
