STEVENS - Helen It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Mary Stevens (nee Perusich) at Maple Park Lodge on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in her 93rd year to join her loving husband Michael (2002). Helen is survived by her sisters-in-law Elsie Perusich and Anne Stefinashen, many nieces, nephews and God children and many friends; especially close were nieces Karen Longfellow, Helen Fortier and Barbara Stones along with four chosen grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael of sixty years, her parents John and Barbara Perusich, sister Antoinette, brothers Jack, Joseph and Mark and sisters-in-law Anne Perusich, Rita Perusich and Frances Kowalsky. Born in Buffalo, New York, Helen came to Canada in 1943 when she married Mike. She was employed with the Atlas Steel Company for 35 years retiring in 1983 and then spent nine years in retail business as owner of Dancingly Yours & More. Helen was a member of the Professional Secretaries Association, Gyrettes of Port Colborne and the Friday night supper club. Helen resided at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie since 2011 and was well cared for by all staff and caregivers - Thank you. Mrs. Stevens' family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held in the Davidson Chapel on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Father Michael Andrysiak officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.
