A 21-year-old North Tonawanda man was arrested Sunday and charged in the early morning stabbing of another man in the City of Tonawanda, police said.
Timothy J. Miller, 21, of East Felton Street was charged with second-degree assault, criminal contempt, second-degree menacing with a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon.
Miller allegedly stabbed Ramondo A. Serrano, also 21, of Tonawanda just before 3:30 a.m. in a backyard on Schuler Street, police said. Serrano suffered a stab wound in the left leg and lost a large amount of blood before being taken to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo where he was treated and discharged, according to police.
Miller was found several hours later in an apartment on Main Street with a stab wound to his leg, which investigators believe was self-inflicted, police said in a news release.
Police said the dispute between the two men was over a woman. Miller is to be arraigned Monday morning.
