Carli Lloyd continued her unforgettable month of July on Saturday when her Houston Dash visited Rochester.
Lloyd’s goal in the 49th minute gave the Dash a 1-0 victory over the Western New York Flash at Sahlen’s Stadium.
Lloyd had six goals in seven matches of this year’s Women’s World Cup, highlighted by her three-goal outburst against Japan in a 5-2 victory in the Championship match on July 5.
The 33-year-old midfielder was traded from the Flash to the Dash in October 2014 for defender Whitney Engen and midfielder Beck Edwards.
The Dash advanced to 4-4-5 with 17 points and the Flash fell to 4-6-3 with 15 points.
