Experience at Gallagher was no day at the beach
We just made our first venture to Gallagher beach since it became a state park. Very disappointing.
The beach was full of seaweed, many big logs and trees, dead fish and, worst of all, the two jet ski docks were filthy with goose excrement. Some people were in the water with small children.
I would have thought at this point of the season (mid-July) most, if not all, of the spring cosmetics should have been taken care of. At least the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority kept the beach area reasonably clean and tolerable. I’m not impressed with New York State operating this facility.
We won’t be back anytime soon.
