The outlook regionally is for sunny days Sunday and into the work week – but hot and dry, according to the National Weather Service at Buffalo.
High temperatures for the week are expected to be in the low to mid 80s, with lows in the mid to high 60s. A cold front arriving Wednesday will chase the heat but bring the possibility of thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday.
Western New York hasn’t had a 90-degree day since July 16, 2013, but will come close on Wednesday, when a few spots in the region are likely to hit or surpass that mark, according to the Weather Service.
Friday and Saturday are expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s, possibly 80.
