Former Buffalo State student among four killed in crash on Long Island

A former SUNY Buffalo State student was among the four young women killed when a pickup truck hit a stretch limousine over the weekend in Long Island’s wine country.

Stephanie Belli, 23, of Kings Park, was a dean’s list student while studying in Buffalo State’s School of Professions from 2010 to 2012 and had transferred to Farmingdale State College on Long Island, where she earned a degree in business management in 2014.

Belli’s twin sister, Brittany, had planned to go on the wine tour as well but backed out, the New York Post reported.

The accident occurred late Saturday afternoon in Cutchogue, when the limousine carrying eight young women made a U-turn while leaving a winery and was hit broadside by a pickup truck, whose driver was charged with driving while intoxicated.
