A motorist who crashed into guardrails along a street in the Town of Marilla was charged with driving while impaired by drugs, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The single-car crash occurred Monday morning on Parker Street, a sheriff’s spokesman said. Suspecting that the driver was under the influence of a substance, the sheriff’s drug recognition expert was called to the scene.
It was determined that Samantha Crandell, 25, of East Aurora, was impaired by drugs, the spokesman said. She also was cited for failure to keep right and unsafe lane change.
Crandell was released on tickets to appear Aug. 4 in Marilla Town Court.
