Van Miller gets a Sportscenter tribute

Sadness spread over the weekend with the passing of longtime Buffalo Bills play-by-play man, Van Miller. Be sure to take a trip down memory lane here at for more on Miller and some of his greatest calls in team history. It'll bring you back. And in his column today, Bucky Gleason wrote about "Buffalo’s uncle and communal jewel."

Miller got his due on the national stage, too.

Sportscenter anchor Kevin Connors --- profiled here in Mixed Media --- is a Bills diehard and for his "Star of the Night" Saturday night, Connors paid tribute to Miller.

Connors noted that Miller was the voice of the Bills for 37 seasons, called the first game in franchise history, both AFL Championships and all four of the team's Super Bowls, then showed a clip of the Bills' Wild Card comeback win over the Houston Oilers.

You can check out his poignant, touching video here.
