Keeping kids brains active during summer topic of next Refresh Mondays

Dawn Peters, assistant deputy director of public services with the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, will be the featured speaker as Refresh Mondays continues from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at The Buffalo NewsRoom at Canalside, the pocket park at Scott and Washington streets.

Peters will talk at 12:30 p.m. about ways to fill summer vacation for kids with constructive, educational activities, the subject of Saturday’s Refresh cover story package.

In the event of bad weather, her talk will be moved to the first floor of The Buffalo News across Washington Street.

The Buffalo News and the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo have joined forces to share helpful information – and weekly guest speakers – each Monday through August at Canalside.
