Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer will appear in Walton County, Fla. court on Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m., according to a court clerk on Wednesday.
Kromer, who was placed on an administrative indefinite paid leave by the Bills, faces a misdemeanor battery charge. According to the arrest report, Kromer and his son approached three boys outside over the use of beach chairs. Kromer then allegedly threw a fishing pole into the water, pushed and punched one minor, and then threatened to kill his family if he told police.
The alleged victim is 5 foot 8, 140 pounds and younger than 18 years old, a Walton County Sheriff's representative said. Kromer, 48, stands 6 foot 4, 210 pounds.
Also on Wednesday, a criminal summons was issued to Kromer's 21-year-old son, Zachery. He was charged with simple battery after allegedly putting his hands on a different minor during the altercation. He was not put into jail like his father, but will need to turn himself into police to set up a court date.
