Buffalo man sentenced to time served for crack trafficking

A Buffalo man was sentenced Wednesday to time served – 16 months – for his guilty plea in March on crack trafficking charges, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced.

Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny sentenced Deandre “Dee Dee” Sparks, 24, for his conviction on charges of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of crack cocaine.

From June 2013 through late February 2014 Sparks was selling crack cocaine in Buffalo, Hochul said. He was arrested shortly after giving some cocaine to a co-defendant, who then distributed the drugs to a confidential source working for the FBI, Hochul said.
