BASKETBALL: The Maryvale/Amherst Camp for boys entering fifth through ninth grade will begin Monday and run through Friday, July 24 at Maryvale High School. Cost is $70. HOCKEY: Skate Ahead WNY is hosting the WNY Hockey Combine Challenge from 4-9 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday at the Cornerstone Ice Arena in Lockport. The event is designed to evaluate youth to college level hockey players off-ice fitness levels. Sign up at or call 514-9525.

PICKLEBALL: The Town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services is starting a new 55-and-over Pickleball program and is forming teams for play on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. continuing through July 30 at the Hamburg Recreation Center (2982 Lakeview Road). TENNIS: The Pappy Martin/General Bass Inner City Tennis Program will be held at Martin Luther King Park on Fillmore and Best Avenues on Mondays and Wednesdays (including this Wednesday) for children and adults from the ages of 5 and up from 11 a.m-1 p.m., and Tuesdays (including today) from 5-7 p.m. for adults only. The program will continue for the next two weeks at the same times until July 28. On August 3, there will be a tournament from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for children only. On August 4, there will be a tournament for adults only.
