Two armed robberies were reported late Sunday on the city’s West Side, authorities said.
A gunman entered a corner store in the 300 block of Potomac Avenue just after 9 p.m. and pointed a silver handgun at a man while demanding cash from a register. The suspect fled with cash westbound on Potomac and southbound on Parkdale Avenue where he may have gotten into a small blue vehicle, police said.
The suspect was described as a six-foot three inche tall man with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie, a black, pink and red mask and black shoes.
Meanwhile, a passenger in a vehicle parked in front of a store on Hampshire Street at Plymouth Avenue was held at gunpoint about 11 p.m. and told to exit the vehicle, police said. The two male suspects then took off in the grey 2005 Acura in an unknown direction, police said. A police report did not contain any further description of the suspects.
