FC Buffalo extended its unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1) and moved closer to clinching a place in the National Premier Soccer League playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Fort Pitt Regiment on Sunday in Pittsburgh. The Wolves (6-1-4) will make the playoffs by gaining a point in Friday’s final regular season game against AFC Cleveland in Robert E. Rich All High Stadium or if the Indiana Fire drops a point in its remaining three games.
Kendell McFayden scored the winning goal for Buffalo on a penalty kick after a Fort Pitt player blocked a shot with his hand in the 79th minute. Connor Willings set up Ngwese Ebangwese for a goal in the 17th minute to give Buffalo the first lead. Fort Pitt tied it minutes later.
Buffalo finished undefeated (3-0-3) on the road in NPSL regular season games.
