Two men reported being beaten up by gangs of men early Saturday in Buffalo.
Northwest District police reported that a man said he was beaten into consciousness on Herkimer Street about 3:25 a.m. Saturday. The victim said the attackers punched and kicked him in the face, inflicting a large laceration over his left eye. A witness told officers the assailants fled south on Herkimer in a red sport utility vehicle.
At East Ferry Street and Cornwall Avenue, a man was attacked by 10 to 12 persons about 12:10 a.m., Northeast District police said. The victim said he was thrown to the ground after a brief argument, and was punched and kicked before one of the attackers began to pound his head with what police called “a hard, blunt object.”
The victim was released after treatment for a head wound in the emergency room of Erie County Medical Center. No arrests have been made in either case.
