LOCKPORT – Town of Lockport Councilman Paul W. Siejak has announced his candidacy for re-election to a third four-year term, once again running as the endorsed candidate of the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Working Families parties.
Siejak was responsible for bringing the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial to Lockport, where it drew thousands of visitors to the Town Hall grounds for four days in June. Siejak worked on that project for more than a year.
“I am very proud of my accomplishments serving the Lockport town residents, exercising fiscal responsibility while maintaining a no-town-tax policy,” Siejak said. He is the Town Board’s liaison to the Highway Department and the Zoning Board of Appeals. He was chairman of the latter before running for the Town Board.
“I also continue to stress that we improve the efficiency of our Water and Sewer departments by instituting a leak detection program to find and repair the town’s water line leaks. In the past, I have also worked on lighting upgrades for the town’s facilities which has created energy savings opportunities at a lower cost to our town residents,” Siejak said.
