Falls historian, author honored with dedication of plaque

NIAGARA FALLS – A plaque dedicated to Niagara Falls historian and author Paul Gromosiak was unveiled Friday in Heritage Park, at Buffalo Avenue and Old Main Street.

Gromosiak, a retired educator who has been involved with numerous initiatives related to the Falls’ history for many years, also received the key to the city from Falls Mayor Paul A. Dyster.

Dyster also declared July 10 as Local History Day in the city.

The plaque dedication ceremony was attended by friends and colleagues of Gromosiak, as well as area elected officials.
