A woman wanted by police on a City of Buffalo warrant faces new charges after county deputies said Thursday they found her close by – in the Rath County Office Building with crack cocaine.
Erie County sheriff’s deputies assigned to the building were told Wednesday that a woman wanted by police was in the fourth-floor reception area. They arrested Shaeron McMasters, 31, of Buffalo without incident on the warrant.
When deputies escorted McMasters to a Sheriff’s Office substation inside the building for processing, they found two rocks of crack and four glass vials containing residue, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
McMasters was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, then taken to the Erie County Holding Center for arraignment Thursday in Buffalo City Court.
Details about the case leading to the original warrant were not released.
