Buffalo police are investigating a pair of shootings that happened early Thursday morning on the city’s East Side.
At about 12:38 a.m., a male was shot while in the bedroom area of a home on Eller Avenue, according to a police report.
The victim, who was shot in the face and head with a .22 caliber rifle, was transported to Erie County Medical Center.
About a mile away and approximately a half-hour later, police investigated another shooting near Genesee and Kilhoffer streets. A a shooting victim in that case arrived in a taxi at ECMC with a gunshot wound to the right leg, according to a police report.
The victim was not cooperative with police, the report said.
The suspect in the first shooting, whose identity was not immediately available, turned himself in at Police Headquarters.
Additional details about the cases, including the names and conditions of the victims, were not available Thursday night.
