Buffalo will once again take center stage for a home-renovation reality TV show, as HGTV’s “House Hunters Renovation” returns to the Queen City for a second, coming episode.
The spinoff of the popular “House Hunters” show will feature Hunt Real Estate Corp. agent Mandy Smith Taborda as she takes clients through homes in Elmwood Village, the North Buffalo and Parkside neighborhoods and the University District. The show will air Saturday at 10 p.m. on HGTV.
“House Hunters Renovation” features homebuyers touring three homes for sale and selecting the “perfect fixer-upper” for purchase. The show then captures the experiences and work of the renovation process, charting the progress and revealing the results of the remodeling at the end.
The program’s producer, Susan Hunt, is originally from Buffalo, but is not related to the family that owns the brokerage firm, according to a release from Hunt Real Estate.
“She knew exactly how to show Buffalo at its best,” Smith Taborda said. “I won’t spoil the surprise and say which home was selected, but I am very excited to see how the remodel turned out.”
