At least two people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a head-on crash in the Town of Wales, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The accident occurred about 3:45 p.m. on Two Rod Road near Route 20A, said Erie County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Scott Zylka.
A driver was transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center while another victim was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo, he said. A Mercy Flight helicopter was unable to respond at the time of the accident because of bad weather in the area, Zylka added.
The Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit responded to the scene. Traffic was restricted in the area of the accident, with Two Road Road closed north to Liberia Road.
