It’s going to feel like summer early this week.
Temperatures Monday are forecast to reach 86 degrees, which is several degrees warmer than the normal high of 80 degrees for July 6, according to Kirk Apffel, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Buffalo. After overnight lows in the upper 60s, Tuesday will be above normal, too, with a forecast high of 84.
But it may feel a little cooler downtown, because of a breeze off Lake Erie, Apffel noted.
There’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms both days.
“Honestly, the best chance for us to get anything is Tuesday, even when the front goes through,” Apffel said.
In its wake, look for highs in the mid-70s Wednesday.
