A 42-year-old motorist seen swerving between lanes in the Town of Sardinia was arrested on drug-related charges, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
A deputy pulled over Jennifer Tenbroeck, of Franklinville, at about 2 a.m. Tuesday on Savage Road. The deputy learned her license was suspended, and noticed that her eyes were glassy and that she appeared impaired.
After Tenbroeck failed field sobriety tests, the deputy called in a drug recognition expert, who confirmed that Tenbroeck was impaired by cocaine, according to a sheriff’s office spokesman. A search of her vehicle revealed cocaine, hydrocodone pills, two digital scales and other drug paraphernalia, the spokesman said.
Tenbroeck was charged with felony counts of possession of a narcotic and of a controlled substance. She also was charged with driving while impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and unspecified vehicle and traffic violations.
Tenbroeck was being held at the county holding center in lieu of $5,000 bail; a court appearance is scheduled for July 5.
