It's official. At least in Switzerland.
Cory Conacher signed a two-year deal to play for SC Bern in the National League A -- the top tier Swiss league.
The former Canisius College star will be reunited with coach Guy Boucher who coached at Tampa Bay when Conacher flourished as an NHL rookie. In 35 games with the Lightning in 2012-13, Conacher had 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists).
The SC Bern website said the two-year deal includes an NHL-out clause after the 2015-16 season.
In 214 career AHL games, Conacher has 74 goals and 103 assists. He has played in 141 regular season NHL games with 58 points (19 goals, 39 assists).
