A Lockport woman was charged with impaired driving after she reportedly struck a parked car in Niagara Falls Monday night and then left the scene.
Jerryl Ann Kinley, 48, of Bear Ridge Road, was charged with moving from a lane unsafely, driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Kinley was observed hitting a parked vehicle at 8:48 p.m. in the 400 block of 17th Street. Another witness said she saw Kinley falling asleep at the wheel while at the intersection of Hyde Park Boulevard and Walnut Avenue and then saw her weaving in and out of traffic.
Police questioned Kinley, who denied that she had been drinking or taking drugs, but told police she had taken sleeping pills. A drug testing exam in police headquarters found she was impaired with a blood alcohol level of .06 percent and found she was severely impaired by depressants, according a police report.
