Grand Island Fire Company medics at second car accident in two days

Tuesday, for the second day in a row, medics of the Grand Island Fire Company were called to the scene of a traffic accident on the island.

The company’s emergency medical unit went to the intersection of Baseline and Fix Roads about 2:25 p.m. to check on the condition of two drivers in a crash there.

Both drivers, Kelly Ruminski, 19, and Henry Lobl, 73, both of Grand Island, refused to be taken to a hospital for a medical checkup.

Just a day earlier, on Monday afternoon, an 84-year-old Grand Island woman whose car was in a crash on Grand Island Boulevard, also refused to be taken for a medical checkup.
