Elma residents will soon have an opportunity to voice their opinions on a 54-unit patio home subdivision proposed to be built on the former Camp Centerland site.
The long-vacant site behind the Pondbrook Homes has been eyed by developer Bryan Young for more than a year.
Young’s original proposal called for a mix of 54 patio homes and 18 single-family homes on the site, with access from Bowen Road, north of Elma Plaza. Outstanding issues include rezoning the property and a tie-in to the existing sewage system.
A public hearing on the plan will be held at 7 p.m. July 14 in Elma Town Hall, 1600 Bowen Road.
